Step 1

Discovery & Product Brief

We start with a deep-dive consultation where I learn about your vision, your brand values, and your target consumers. Then we run a structured workshop, tasting benchmark products, mapping out sensory characteristics, and defining exactly what we're creating.

Outcome: A comprehensive Product Brief that guides the entire development process.

Step 2

In-House Formulation

This is where the magic happens. I get to work in my kitchen, developing your product from scratch.

I'm testing ingredients, tweaking ratios, looking at interactions, running trial after trial until I create something that:

  • Tastes incredible
  • Aligns with your clean-label, plant-based, or allergen-free requirements
  • Works technically (texture, stability, shelf-life)
  • Fits your target consumers' expectations

I'm not rushing this. If it takes 50 trials, 100 trials, even 200 trials to get it right — that's what I'll do.

Step 3

Custom Flavour Language Training

Before we taste together, I train you and your team in objective tasting language.
This isn't just about this product, it's about empowering you to make better decisions on every future launch. You'll learn how to describe flavours, identify characteristics, and evaluate products analytically (not emotionally).

Step 4

Guided Tasting Rounds

We run 3 in-person tasting sessions where I walk you through each sample, help you articulate what you're tasting, and guide you to the right decisions.
Then I refine the recipe based on your feedback — up to 2 rounds of amendments included.

Outcome: A validated kitchen sample that you're excited to launch.

Step 5

Supplier Sourcing & Co-Manufacturer Matching

If you need help finding suppliers or a co-manufacturer, I've got you covered.
I source the right ingredient suppliers for your formulation, then help you find a co-manufacturer who:

Understands clean-label, plant-based, or allergen-free production
Has the right equipment and certifications
Aligns with your brand values. 

Outcome: The right partners to bring your product to life at scale.

Step 6

Industrialisation & Scale-Up

This is where we take your kitchen sample and make it work in production.
I stay with you through:

The first industrialisation trial at your co-manufacturer
2 post-scale-up tastings to check consistency
Final tweaks to ensure your product tastes just as good at scale as it did in my kitchen

Scaling always changes things (sweetness, texture, flavour intensity), so this step is crucial.

Outcome: A launch-ready product that performs in production and delights consumers.
